hullo! hahas i just spent the first half of the day sitting in with my gp today, and its been a good experience. first of all my gp is this rilli gentle and refined lady who actually bothers to take out diagrams and show u wots causing the cough or the phlegm or whatever it is bothering you. altho sometimes i'm abit lost (when i was a patient and she was explaining to me) and have to resort to nodding and all sorts of ambivalent mms and ahhs, it makes you feel significant and intelligent that your dr would take the time to explain the arcane reason behind tt irritating cough of yours.
anyways, today i didn't rilli spend tt long inside the room, but i from what i'v seen i think being a gp rilli takes alot of patience. i rmb another gp telling me long ago tt wot they do is not so much healing, but cajoling, and i sorta get what he means now. being able to speak fluent mandarin is also important, and i now understand the whole huayu cool campaign and all its past reincarnates. you rilli need to be able to communicate with all the lao tai tais and lao ah mas otherwise how will they know wot u're talking about?so i have decided to buy i-weekly once a month. it will take me tt long to finish reading one issue anyways the print is so itty bitty. anyway, ynoe how we used to learn in sec sch physics tt steam is hotter than hot water? its very very true ynoe you can get terribly burnt from it like when u're cooking and your skin will change colour. sometimes i think being a homemaker is rilli the most dangerous job in the world...
i just remembered i must write about this very funny person who wento the dentist the other day. he breezed in and started talking the minute he sat down, saying that his teeth and gums have been bleeding cuz he hasn't been to the dentist for very very long because he's afraid of dentists, and how he used this mouthwash called sth sth to stop the bleeding. the dentist was quite impressed that he knew how to use this mouthwash, which is not ur average listerine or colgate bt has a funny name tt i've forgotten, and asked him how he knew about it. so guess wot the guy replied? he said he's a medical student!! hahahas isnt tt funny? it rilli tickled me good thing the mask masked my giggles, pardon the pun haha. oh shucks i'm so corny.
oh no one of the korean boys i tutored just sms-ed me asking me if i could go down to his house tonight. huh i rilli feel very bad tt i stopped tutoring them. its not their fault i just felt very unhappy there cuz the mother is very fierce and sort of expects me to be their designated tutor only. plus she kept putting off paying me and expects me to go down everyday and tuition from morning to night just because she knows i'm very free now. agh. stop thinking about it. but i rilli miss the students alot! :(
anyways, i just finished reading vol 2 of jeffrey archer's prison diary. its very interesting this is the first insight i've had of prison life. and he somehow reminds me of philip! who actually wanted to go to jail after reading it. bt he says tt he and his friends say that they would rather go to a uk jail than spend time in ns. the operative word being 'say' los. in it archer says tt the sinks in some of the cells are covered in poo ynoe. i cant imagine the conditions in ns being as squalid as that. altho archer has a considerably better time in jail than most inmates, certain parts of his diary are still very sad. ynoe in the uk most of the inmates only started taking drugs because its so prevalent in jail. and that being incarcerated actually sends them on a path of no return, since they get to meet all sorts of criminals inside, many more hardened and cold than they are. or some for whom jail is the only home they've ever known. i rilli wonder wot our prisons are like. oh and tt more ppl commit suicide in the month after they're released than in the first month they're jailed because they cant re-integrate into society? like he was writing about this man who was actually put back into jail just after he was released not because he was a repeat offender bt simply because no one came to pick him up.. its so sad right..so please dont go to jail okay. altho some of the prisoners are also very brilliant people. bt there is a better way to prove urself than to challenge the system. or the government. or the tax people.
okay i must leave soon for tuition! tonight i shall implement my sleep early scheme again which i started on sat when i slept at 9!! its very good. although it considerably shortens your day, you have absolutely no problem waking up in the mornings! perfect for ppl like me.
